During the summer of 2006, people could not talk about soccer without mentioning the headbutting machine Luca Toni. As a member of the 2006 World Cup Champs, Toni was quite upset about the current situation. Returning coach of the World Champs, Lippi finalized the roster this June leaving out key player such as Totti, Toni and other significant players. Toni has just recently returned to the Serie A signing with the runners up AS Roma. He hoped to gain an advantage by playing for an Italian team that would help Lippi’s decision. With Toni’s hopes shattered, he has predicted that England will win. Toni stated he was upset but now is sure that England will win the cup. Toni contemplated the move but to Bayern Munich but it is very unlikely as he has found comfort in Roma. Toni's main objective is to stay in Italy.
