1) I believe Jon Stewart is a journalist. He reports the news but in a humorous way. In the end of the passage, it states Jon is a writer for the show. Jon is considered a Broadcast Journalist but also as a writer.
2) Jon reports the news for the Daily Show.
3) This show has many different other comedians coming on top present. They have different funny segments but are tied into daily society. In the beginning of the show, Jon does a monologue.
4) It shows that anybody can report the news. The news can be funny but also informative at the same time.
